What happens when stroke survivors take the stage? You get a night like no other.

Last year’s One Word At A Time was unforgettable—emceed by two of our very own clients, Emily and Jocelyn, who guided the evening with poise, humor, and heart. Client speakers Aboye, Nazim, and Casey shared their powerful journeys, showing us that stroke recovery isn’t just about therapy—it’s about reclaiming identity, connection, and purpose.

We were also honored to celebrate Sherrie Frachtman, whose decades of leadership, advocacy, and heart have helped shape Austin Speech Labs from the ground up.

In 2025, we raised over $650,000—including $189,000 for Fund-A-Need, which goes directly toward providing life-changing speech therapy for stroke survivors who otherwise couldn’t afford it.
